From: L'agriculture et maison rustique, Charles Estienne (Rouen, 1658).

That the Farmer should have
the knowledge of the movements of the Moon and the Sun,
of their abilities and effects upon rustic things.

(Chapter 9)

-=-=-

[twenty-first and twenty-second days of the moon]

The twenty-first day King Saul was born. It is a good day to rejoice in beautiful and honest clothing, and to buy food. Crime committed will be discovered. The sick are in great danger of being taken by disease. Dreams are vain and useless, and the child born on this day will do great works.

The twenty-second day Job was born. It is not a good day to negotiate with, undertake business with, or bill anyone. The sick will be in danger of dying from the illness they catch on this day. Dreams will be true. The child born on this day will be good and honest.
